June — Warm, Sunny and Vibrant

June marks the beginning of high season. The weather is hot and reliable, with temperatures around 26-28°C. However, the crowds are still manageable compared to July and August. Sunset cruises are spectacular in June, as the long evenings mean you can enjoy the golden light for hours. Wine tours are also excellent this time of year, as the vineyards are lush and green.

July & August — Peak Season

July and August are the hottest and busiest months on the island. Temperatures regularly exceed 30°C and the famous caldera villages of Oia and Fira can feel very crowded.
